Christina Manzano

Welcome!

I'm Christina Manzano (King).  I began my education in Hawai'i community colleges and moved to California in 2013 to work at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab.  I then earned my Physics PhD with a focus on observational astronomy from UC Riverside, where I studied how supermassive black holes affect the evolution of small galaxies.

Since completing my PhD in 2020, I have taught physics and astronomy at Riverside City College, Mt. San Antonio College, and Mt. San Jacinto College.  My diverse background and work experience make me an excellent mentor for aspiring scientists.  I am certified to teach online and enjoy actively contributing to my department and campus, while continuing to develop new curricula while expanding my toolset of pedagogical techniques.
